Times Square Diner Fire Leaves 3 Injured, Including 2 Firefighters
Tourists at nearby hotels were reportedly told to shut their windows.

TIMES SQUARE, NY — Three people, including two firefighters, were injured after a fire broke out at a Times Square diner early Tuesday morning, an FDNY spokesman told Patch. The fire started around 4:45 a.m. in the duct work of TSQ Brasserie at 723 7th Ave., near 48th Street, and spread to nearby buildings, the FDNY said. Thirty-three units, including 140 firefighters, responded to the fire, the FDNY said.
The other person injured was a civilian, the FDNY said. Tourists in nearby hotels and people living in the area were reportedly told to shut their windows. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
