Grand Central Stabbing Suspect Indicted for Attempted Murder, DA Says
The attack started from an argument over a phone that was too loud.
MIDTOWN, NY — A Queens man was indicted on Thursday for stabbing a man on the Metro-North train in Grand Central station this January, District Attorney Alvin Bragg said.
According to Bragg, the suspect, Abdul Little, 46, stabbed a 31-year-old man on Jan. 4 at around 6:47 p.m. while onboard the train.
As the train pulled into the station, the two were arguing about Little's phone being too loud, when Little pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest, Bragg said.

Once the two left the train, the victim flagged down nearby police officers, who arrested Little, who had a knife with him, as he was trying to flee, Bragg said.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for a wound to his chest which required stitches, Bragg said.

"As alleged, Abdul Little viciously stabbed a train passenger on a train pulling into Manhattan’s landmark train station,” Bragg said. “New Yorkers and commuters deserve to be safe while navigating our railroads and subways, and we will seek full accountability for anyone who commits these horrific acts of violence. I wish the victim a speedy and full recovery.”
Little is charged in a New York State Supreme Court indictment with one count each of attempted murder in the second degree, attempted assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
