Hillary, Bill Clinton Cheered Leaving Broadway Play
The couple saw "In Transit" at the Circle in the Square Theatre.
MIDTOWN, MANHATTAN — Hillary and Bill Clinton left the friendly confines of Chappaqua on Wednesday night and were spotted in Midtown, where they took in an a cappella production of "In Transit" at the Circle in the Square Theatre.
The former president and presidential candidate were cheered by a throng of people as they left the show. The couple waved to the crowd, shook hands with NYPD officers on scene and greeted a few of the supporters before getting into their black SUV.
The crowd chanted "Hillary! Hillary!" at the former presidential candidate as the car doors were shut. Here's how NBC New York saw it:

Their public appearance came on the same day that Clinton announced a new book, a collection of personal essays about her life up to and through her loss to Donald Trump in the presidential election.
Simon & Schuster will publish the book, scheduled for a fall release.
