Holiday Fair Returns To Grand Central This Week

Why fight through the hordes near Rockefeller Center when you can enjoy a holiday market – and model trains – at Grand Central?

MIDTOWN, NY – The Grand Central Holiday Fair reopened on Monday at Manhattan's iconic terminal, officials announced at a press conference earlier today.

Located in Grand Central’s Vanderbilt Hall, the Holiday Fair will host 36 small businesses and merchants through Dec. 24, Monday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Free gift wrapping will be available, in paper inspired by Grand Central’s famous ceiling.

Now in its 20th year, the holiday model train show opens on Thursday, with the choos-choos on display until Feb. 2025 – long after the holiday crowds have thinned.

The diorama features replicas of Metro-North trains, vintage subway cars, and even the Polar Express, all departing from a miniature Grand Central Terminal and traversing New York City landmarks before reaching the North Pole.
