NEW YORK, NY — A New York Jets rookie was arrested after crashing into a bus early Monday morning in the Lincoln Tunnel, police sources said.

Dylan Donahue, 25, drove his green Dodge Charger around traffic cones around 2 a.m. Monday in order to enter the center tube of the Lincoln Tunnel, a Port Authority Police spokesman said. Donahue was driving against traffic in the tube when he struck a jitney bus carrying 15 passengers, the spokesman said.

Four of the bus passengers were taken to Hoboken Hospital in stable condition, a Port Authority Police spokesman said. The people taken to the hospital included a mother and a toddler, and all were experiencing minor pain to the back and neck, the spokesman said.

A source close to the matter confirmed that Donahue plays for the New York Jets. The 6-foot-3, 248-pound linebacker was taken in the fifth round of the 2017 draft and appeared in four games for the Jets in his first season. Donahue was sidelined for most of the season after undergoing surgery on an injured elbow.
