Man, 79, Pushed Down Stairs Of Midtown Subway Station, Police Say
The man suffered injuries to his leg and body.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man who pushed a 79-year-old down a flight of stairs in a Midtown Manhattan subway station, police said.
The 79-year-old man was standing near a set of stairs leading down to the platform of the West 53 Street and 7th Avenue subway station when he was shoved into a wall by another man, police said. The shove cause the man to lose balance and fall down the flight of stairs, police said.
The victim was transported by private means to a hospital in Nassau County suffering injuries to his right leg and pain throughout his body, police said.

The suspect (pictured above) is described as a man in his 30s who stands about 6-foot-2 with a heavy build.
