Violent Midtown Mugging Spree Ends With Queens Man's Arrest: Police
The knife-wielding mugger slashed and stabbed three victims and stole about $15,000 worth of stuff, police said.

MIDTOWN, NY — A Queens man arrested Friday stands accused of a midtown mugging spree that saw him steal $15,000 worth of stuff and leave three people wounded, according to officials.
Nicolas Giraldo, 25, now faces charges of robbery, assault and grand larceny after his 2:30 a.m. arrest in the West Village, police said.
Giraldo was behind a spree of seven muggings across the city, most of which involved a knife, and saw him fleeing with watches, jewelry and cash, police said.

Three muggings occurred in Midtown Monday and there was another earlier in the month, officials said.
