Man Attacked In Anti-LGBTQ+ Hate Crime in Midtown, Police Say
No arrests have been made yet, but the incident is being investigated by the NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force, police said.

MIDTOWN, NY — Police were looking Thursday for a man who attacked a 22-year-old after making anti-LGBTQIA+ remarks in Midtown, New York City Police Department officials said.
According to the NYPD, the victim was walking in front 323 West 34th St. between Eighth and Ninth avenues on June 22 at 3 a.m. when a man approached him from behind, made anti-LGBTQ+ remarks and then punched the victim several times all over his body.
Then, the perpetrator ran away, police said.

Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect, who was last seen wearing a gray shirt, blue jean pants, with black and white sneakers, they said.
