Man Carjacked Steps From Broadway Theatre
A pair of crooks took off in a stolen car after they punched its owner as he sat inside the parked vehicle earlier this month.

MIDTOWN, NY — A man sitting inside his parked car got punched in the face by two crooks who then sped off with the stolen vehicle, according to police.
On May 11, the man was sitting in his car near the Broadway Theatre at Broadway and West 53rd Street at around 6 a.m. when the duo crept up on him, officials said.
The two mystery men hopped into the car and a struggle ensued, resulting in one of the two men punching the owner in the face, police said, who then managed to exit the vehicle.

Officials said the pair then sped off in the stolen car, which was recovered later.
Police released an image of the pair and ask that anyone with information in regard to this incident to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
