Man Charged With Assault After Scooter-Related Subway Attack: Police

A 68-year-old man was knocked unconscious in a violent subway attack on an uptown D train on Wednesday night, officials said.

MIDTOWN, NY – At about 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday night, a 68-year-old man was riding an uptown D train near Columbus Circle when his scooter hit another man’s foot, according to authorities.

The scooter bump left the second man uninjured, police said, but provoked a violent assault.

The man whose foot had been hit punched the 68-year-old victim in the face and ribs, leaving him unconscious, police said.

The victim was transported to Mount Sinai West in stable condition, according to officials.

Kevin Green, a 34-year-old Bronx man, was charged with felony assault in connection with the incident, an NYPD spokesperson told Patch.
