Man Jumps To Death From Hell's Kitchen Building, Officials Say

The man jumped from the roof of a 10-story building on West 52nd Street and 11th Avenue.

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — A man jumped to his death early Monday morning in Hell's Kitchen, an NYPD spokesman said.

EMS personnel responded to 555 West 52nd Street — a 10-story apartment building located near 11th Avenue — around 1:40 a.m. to discover a man suffering injuries from a fall, an FDNY spokesman said. The man was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, an FDNY spokesman said.

Around 3:15 a.m., the man was pronounced dead at the hospital, an NYPD spokesman said. The NYPD believes the man jumped from the 10-story building's roof, and does not suspect criminality, a department spokesman said.

The man, who was 18-years-old, has not been identified, an NYPD spokesman said.
