Worker Killed in Fall From Midtown Skyscraper: FDNY
The man was reportedly a construction worker, though FDNY could not confirm that.
MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A man was killed in a fall from a high-rise building in Midtown on Thursday afternoon.
According to the FDNY, the fall, which happened at 2:22 p.m., occurred near the Credit Lyonnais Building at 1301 Avenue of the Americas, between West 52nd and West 53rd streets. A spokesman for Paramount Group, which owns 1301 Avenue of the Americas, told Patch the worker fell from an adjacent building, 135 W. 52nd St. Reports indicate the man landed on a second-floor awning at the Credit Lyonnais Building.
The man was pronounced dead on scene, the FDNY said.

The building at 135 W. 52nd St., formerly a hotel, now houses 109 luxury condos and is noteworthy for its illuminated design.
