Man Knifed In Neck, Face In Manhattan, Police Say

MIDTOWN, NY — A man was slashed in the neck and face in Midtown early Tuesday morning, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the 20-year-old victim was walking near West 39th Street and Seventh Avenue when a perpetrator slashed him in the neck and face with a knife at around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Medics rushed the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/ Bellevue, where he is likely to survive, police said.

Police are investigating the incident and are searching for a suspect. Police said no arrests have been made yet.

Police said they are not yet sure what led up to the slashing.
