Man Robs Midtown Manhattan Bank, Police Say
The man slipped a note to a bank teller demanding money, police said.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a Midtown Manhattan bank robbery.
The suspect entered the Valley National Bank branch on Park Avenue between East 40th and 41st streets shortly before 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, police said. After entering the bank, the man approached the teller window and slipped an employee a note demanding money, police said.
The bank teller complied with the robber's demands and handed over an undetermined amount of money, police said. The man then fled the bank, police said.

The bank robber (pictured above) is described as a man in his 30s or 40s standing about 5-foot-8, police said. The man has facial hair and was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with white lettering, black frame eyeglasses, a white shirt, a dark gray hoodie, dark pants and a brown backpack, police said.
