MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Police are investigating a Friday evening shooting in Midtown Manhattan. A man was shot on the street at 59th Street and Madison Avenue around 6 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said. He is not likely to die, the spokesman said. The shooting happened just about a block from Central Park and near several luxury stores, including Barneys and Bloomingdales.
