Man Slashed In Face Near Penn Station, Police Say
A man was cut in the face Wednesday morning on a busy Midtown Manhattan street. The attacker was caught by police.
MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A man was slashed in the face Wednesday morning blocks away from Penn Station on a busy Midtown Manhattan street, an NYPD spokesman said.
The man was walking on West 36th Street near Eighth Avenue about 8:45 a.m. when he was cut in the face with a knife, police said. The attacker was caught while fleeing the scene on foot and is awaiting charges, an NYPD spokesman said.
Police did not identify the victim, but said that his injuries were minor. Motive for the attack is still under investigation, an NYPD spokesman said.
