Man Spits, Punches, Kicks In Koreatown Anti-Asian Hate Crime: NYPD
Police said a bystander intervened and stopped the early morning attack last week.

KOREATOWN, NY — Police are looking for a man they said attacked two people last month in an early morning anti-Asian hate crime on West 23rd Street in Koreatown.
At about 1:30 a.m. on May 23, a man attacked a man and woman, both 39-years-old, were about to enter an Uber car when a mysterious man came up and started making anti-Asian remarks, police said.
The hate-spewing man then spat on the woman and pushed the man to the ground, kicking him several times in the leg, according to officials, until a passerby intervened and caused the bigoted attacker to flee.
