Man Stabbed at 42nd Street Subway Station: FDNY
Two assaults took place Thursday afternoon, as a man was stabbed at the 42nd Street station, while an assault took place at Penn Station.
MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A man was stabbed in his chest and arm at the 42nd Street-Port Authority subway station after an argument with another rider on Thursday afternoon, according to officials.
According to police, two men argued on a northbound A train leaving from 34th Street and one slashed the other on the victim's chest, forehead, side and arm. The victim got off the train at 42nd Street and alerted authorities. Paramedics responded to the A, C, E station at 3:31 p.m. for the report of one man stabbing another commuter, the FDNY said. The man was taken to taken to Cornell Medical Center with minor injuries. A video shared on Twitter shows the person being treated while sitting on a subway bench.
Police released video of the suspect at 12:30 a.m. on Friday. The suspect is described as about 30 years old, 6-foot to 6-foot-2, 171 to 185 pounds, with dreadlocks, a black baseball cap, white sneakers, striped shirt and blue jeans.

There were multiple MTA service disruptions due to the police activity Thursday afternoon. Northbound A trains were running local from West 4th Street-Washington Square to 59 Street-Columbus Circle and some northbound A and C trains were running on the F line from Jay Street to West 4th Street-Washington Sq and the via the D line from West 4th Street to Columbus Circle.

The NYPD said there was another incident just one station away from the stabbing at 3:55 p.m. There, a man with braids and a camouflage jacket assaulted someone at Penn Station on the A, C, E line, police said.
