Man Stabbed In Manhattan Overnight, Police Say

The 31-year-old victim was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/​Bellevue early Friday, police said.

MIDTOWN, NY — A 31-year-old man was hospitalized after he was stabbed in the leg in Midtown early Friday, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the victim was stabbed in the leg with an unknown weapon on East 49th Street and Second Avenue around 1:32 a.m. Friday.

When medics arrived, the victim was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, and is not likely to die from his injuries, police said.

One perpetrator, a man around 30-35 years old, ran away on foot, police said, and no arrests have been made yet.

Police said it was not yet clear what led up to the stabbing.
