Manhattan Traffic: Street Closures Lifted In Midtown After NYPD Cop's Funeral

Streets were blocked off for most of the morning and afternoon.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Street closures around St. Patrick's Cathedral, put in place during the funeral of NYPD hero cop Steven McDonald, were lifted following the services for the fallen officer. Traffic was frozen for much of the morning from 56th St. down to 46th St. down 5th and Madison aves and along all cross streets during the services for the cop, who was shot in Central Park and later forgave his would-be killer.

All bridges are back open following the funeral procession from Long Island into Midtown.
