Midtown Food Cart Fire Sends 1 To Hospital: FDNY

A food cart caught fire near a busy Midtown intersection Thursday morning, leaving one person hospitalized with burns, authorities said.

It broke out at 8:19 a.m. on a food cart near the intersection of East 57th Street and Madison Avenue — steps away from Trump Tower and the Tiffany flagship jewelry store.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A Midtown food cart caught on fire Thursday morning, sending one person to the hospital, according to authorities.

A food cart parked near East 57th Street and Madison Avenue — steps away from Trump Tower and the Tiffany flagship jewelry store — erupted in flames about 8:20 a.m., the FDNY said.

Medics took a person with minor burns to Weill Cornell Hospital, an FDNY spokesperson told Patch.
