Midtown Gas Station Employee Slashed By Irate Customer: NYPD, Worker
A 28-year-old worker was slashed by an upset customer Tuesday night, according to police and an employee of the 24-hour gas station.

MIDTOWN, NY — A worker at a 24-hour Midtown gas station was slashed by an irate customer on Tuesday evening, according to police and a fellow gas station employee.
On Tuesday at about 7:40 p.m., a 28-year-old worker at an Exon station on West 51st Street and 11th Avenue was slashed by an unknown man, police said.
First responders brought the victim to Roosevelt Hospital in stable condition, officials said.

The victim's co-worker told Patch that the slasher was a customer upset over an unknown issue and that he asked the man to calm down before the attack.
He said it was odd for something like this to happen at their station and that his co-worker was "doing ok" after the slashing.

Police said they're looking for a man about five foot seven inches tall, weighing around 150 pound and wearing a yellow jumpsuit.
