Midtown Gunpoint Robbery Attempt Ends In Foiled Cell Snatch: Cops

COLUMBUS CIRCLE - A man was injured in an attempted cell phone grab at gunpoint Monday night near Columbus Circle, authorities said.

The phone-wielding victim was approached by a gunman in front of a Subway store at 852 10th Ave. near West 56th Street about 10:45 p.m., police said.

The suspect fled without the phone northbound on 10th Avenue, but not before injuring the victim’s right eye, police said. The injuries were later deemed minor.
