Midtown Sandwich Shop Offers Free Month Of Lunch For 'Golden' Winner

MIDTOWN, NY — For one lucky sandwich fan, Friday will be the start of the best month of their life.

Acclaimed sandwich spot Alidoro is hosting a Wonka-inspired event on Friday to celebrate National Sandwich Day, where a lucky winner will find a golden-ticket wrapped sandwich and be rewarded with a whole month of free sandwiches.

With three Midtown locations — in 30 Rock, Moynihan Food Hall and near Bryant Park — fans of their Italian treats should have no trouble finding ample chances to win big.

"That's what a sandwich should look like," said Jimmy Fallon, who unwrapped a golden-wrapped sandwich from Alidoro, promoting the contest.

Plus, Alidoro is teaming up with renowned charcuterie experts at Fra' Mani to offer several small-batch salami three-packs as giveaways.

Originally founded in Soho back in 1986, Alidoro now has five locations in Manhattan and is typically found on many "Best Sandwiches" list and is heralded for bringing real Italian sandwiches focused on quality ingredients to the Big Apple.
