MIDTOWN, NY — Police are searching for a man who punched a 44-year-old MTA employee in the face in the 34th Street-Herald Square subway station in January, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the man punched the victim in the face on Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. in the mezzanine area of the subway station and then ran away above ground.

The MTA employee was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition, NYPD officials said.

No arrests have been made yet, but the investigation is ongoing, police said.
