National Night Out Against Crime in Midtown: Evening Food, Fun, Music
NYPD community affairs officers will be celebrating with community members Tuesday evening while teaching them best safety practices.

If you ever wanted to party with a police officer, now's your chance. New York City's National Night Out Against Crime happens annually on the first Tuesday of August, and it's happening this Tuesday night. It marks a day where community affairs NYPD officers teach communities different best safety practices at local festivals for different precincts.
Precinct 17's night out against crime event goes from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza on 47th Street between 1st and 2nd avenues. There will be barbecue, police cars on display, a bouncey house, and a live concert by a band called "Girls on Top."
