New Family-Run Hell's Kitchen Eatery Looks To Continue Legacy: Report
Cubby's offers an ice-cream parlor vibe, with burgers, milkshakes and fries — all atop a long neighborhood family tradition.

HELLS'S KITCHEN, NY — A new hamburger joint is on 10th Avenue, but it's sibling owners are anything but new to the food scene in the neighborhood.
Owners Charles Guenancia and Leila Colbert told W42ST this week that their journey to 10th Avenue started at Times Square, where growing up the brother and sister waited tables at their father's restaurant, Cafe Un Deux Trois, a hit since 1977.
Colbert told the local news magazine that "food was the way we always came together and shared love with each other."

“We are restaurant children continuing the legacy,” Colbert said.
The two have lived in the neighborhood for over a decade, and have been at work on Cubby's for the last few years

“Hell’s Kitchen was missing something, especially on 10th Avenue,” Colbert told W42ST. “We wanted to have kind of like a little parlor ice cream and milkshakes and burgers. Simple grab-and-go stuff, just for the people of the community.”
Guenancia said they were still in the process of planning their grand opening and were looking forward to partnering with members of the neighborhood for their opening party.
“We want to stay very driven and to be community-oriented," said Guenancia.
