New Korean Fried Chicken Spot Opens In Hell's Kitchen: Report
Koji Chicken combines its co-founder's passions for crispy fried chicken and bubble tea, according to W42ST.

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — A new crispy Korean fried chicken place is making a splash on Ninth Avenue, according to a profile from online magazine W42ST.
Elvan Wang and Jayden Yeom, who have backgrounds in bubble tea and Korean fried chicken respectively, recently opened Koji Chicken at 764 Ninth Ave., near West 51st Street, with the goal of combining their two passions, the article reads.
The shop has a unique, proprietary batter and spice mix, Wang told the magazine. “We’re very focused on our in-house marinade and sauces — we make our own batter and all of our sauces,” Wang added.

Wang, the longtime owner of Juicy Cube — a juice and bubble tea spot in East Midtown — told W42nd that opening on Ninth Avenue was the natural choice.
“We love the neighborhood — it’s super current, and we thought this would be the best place to get exposure,” he told W42ST. “We initially thought it would be mostly tourists, but since we’ve opened we’ve already had a lot of local customers.”
