Subways Delayed Across NYC After Power Shutdown In Midtown Manhattan
Subway service on two lines across the city were snarled because of power problems in Midtown.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN — Power problems in Midtown Manhattan caused massive subway delays across the city on the A/C/E and B/D/F/M trains Monday morning. For the latest on these delays, click here to get real-time alerts and a daily newsletter for your NYC neighborhood.
As of 10:24 a.m. Monday, the issues were resolved, and D, F and E trains were running normally with "extensive" delays. Earlier in the morning, though, those trains had been re-routed or shut down completely, causing travel headaches for anyone venturing out on Boxing Day.
A total loss of power on the third rail at 7th Ave. had originally shut down D train service between 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Center and West 4 St.-Washington Sq.

E trains weren't running between World Trade Center and Queens Plaza and were running on the R line between Queens Plaza and Whitehall St.
The power loss came from an electrical fire late Sunday night, WCBS reported.
