Pastrami Queen Closes Midtown Expansion After 3 Months: Report

The Pastrami Queen location in Times Square's Pearl Hotel was the restaurant's first expansion in its six-decade history.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A renowned New York City deli that has been dishing out some of Manhattan's best sandwiches has closed its Times Square location after just a few months in business, according to reports.

Pastrami Queen recently shuttered its location at the Pearl Hotel on West 49th Street in Times Square after opening the restaurant in March, Eater New York first reported. The restaurant has long been a mainstay on the Upper East Side after settling on Lexington Avenue after stints as "Pastrami King" in Williamsburg and Kew Gardens.

The Times Square location was Pastrami Queen's first expansion in its six-decade history, Eater New York reported. The menu mirrored the original location and featured staples such as pastrami, brisket, corned beef and traditional Jewish deli dishes.
