Penn Station Platform Punch Cracks Man's Skull, Police Say

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man who landed a devastating punch that cracked another man's skull during a fight on a Penn Station subway platform, police said.

The suspect got into an argument with another man around 12:30 p.m. Sunday and initiated the violence by walking up to the man and punching him in his face, police said. The victim was knocked to the ground and struck his head on a handrail, knocking him unconscious, said police.

When the victim went to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, he was admitted with a fractured skull and brain swelling, police said.

Police released photos of the suspect (seen above) taken by security cameras on the Penn Station platform.
