Person Hit By Train At Midtown Station, MTA Says

The incident at 7 Av station Wednesday disrupted service to A, B, C, D, F and M trains.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A person was hit by a train at a Midtown Manhattan subway station Wednesday morning, causing disruptions on multiple subway lines, MTA officials said.

The person, who was not identified, was struck at about 10:15 a.m. at the Seventh Avenue and West 53rd Street station, MTA officials said.

Service changes and delays affected the A, B, C, D, F and M lines as third rail power was cut to the Midtown station. Southbound B and D trains ran on the A and C lines from Columbus Circle to West 4th Street and Jay St, MTA officials said.

Emergency responders "safely removed" the person from the tracks shortly before 10:30 a.m., according to MTA officials. An FDNY spokesman could not provide information on the person's injuries.
