Senior Punched, Knocked To Ground In Midtown: Police

A 71-year-old was punched in the face on Saturday, according to officials.

MIDTOWN, NY — A senior was punched in the face and pushed to the ground by a stranger on Saturday, according to police.

The knockdown happened on West 55th Street near Broadway at about 9 p.m., when the unknown person came up to a 71-year-old-man and punched him in the face, officials said.

Police said the stranger then pushed the man to the ground and fled west down West 55th Street.

The man was taken by first responders to Mt. Sinai West for treatment for his injuries, but police had no further details on his condition.
