MIDTOWN-HELLS KITCHEN, NY — A taxicab driver suffered a medical episode and crashed into a pole, injuring 3 other people in Hells Kitchen on Thursday, police said. The crash happened near West 42nd Street and 12th Ave. around 2:30 p.m.A 33-year-old pedestrian was injured when the taxi lost control, a 61-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman were also injured in the incident. The trio were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Images from the scene show the taxi car heavily damaged. The taxi driver was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, police said. An investigation remains ongoing.
