TJ Maxx To Reopen Columbus Circle Store After Renovation

The West 57th Street store has been expanded from 18,000 square feet to 46,000 square feet.

COLUMBUS CIRCLE, NY — The Columbus Circle-area T.J. Maxx is set to reopen next week after a renovation project that nearly tripled the store's size, company officials announced.

A grand re-opening ceremony will be held at the West 57th Street department store on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at its location between Eighth Avenue and Broadway. The expanded store is now 46,000 square feet, compared to its original 18,000 square feet, company officials said.

"The expansion of our 57th Street store will offer a larger selection of ever-changing, high-quality, on-trend and brand-name merchandise at the amazing prices T.J.Maxx is known for. Our buyers create a unique mix that offers value for styles in every department, and we’re excited to deliver even more value to our shoppers with the addition of a third floor," Tim Miner, President of T.J.Maxx, said in a statement.

The new store will feature a brand-new third floor and store layout that includes an expanded men's section, new dressing rooms and an improved home department, a spokesperson for T.J. Maxx said.

In addition to expanding the store's physical size, T.J. Maxx is also expanded the size of its store team. Company officials expect to add 50 full- and part-time jobs to its Columbus Area store.

The store will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.

"With a constant flow of new arrivals, we offer an exciting one-stop-shop that makes it easy for consumers to find what they want, take it home that day and save money at the same time," Miner said in a statement.
