Trio Of Armed Women Rob Cab Driver In Midtown: Police

A group of three women robbed two taxi drivers at gunpoint, police said, one right outside of Grand Central Terminal.

MIDTOWN, NY — A trio of armed women robbed two taxi drivers around the city in one night, police said.

Their night of crime began just outside of Grand Central Terminal on Nov. 20 at around 1:10 a.m., according to officials.

After an argument with the 60-year-old taxi driver, the women pulled out a gun and demanded the man's cell phone, police said.

The women then fled into the Grand Central subway station, officials said.

About two hours later, the trio pulled a gun on a 59-year-old taxi driver in the Bronx, stealing over $200 and a cell phone.

No injuries were reported in either robbery.

Police described two of the women as five foot seven inches tall and the third as five foot five inches tall, in addition to images released.
