2 Rescued After Scaffolding Collapses In Midtown
Emergency responders pulled one worker into the building through a window, FDNY said.
MIDTOWN, NY — Scaffolding is precariously hanging off the side of a Midtown building after a partial collapse that left two window washers dangling Wednesday morning, FDNY said.
The motorized scaffolding partially collapsed just after 10 a.m. and left the workers holding on for their lives about 16 stories up.
One worker was able to crawl inside the 259 West 30th St. building on his own. Emergency responders managed to pull the other man in through a window, an FDNY spokesman said.
