VIDEO: Man Randomly Slashes Woman With Boxcutter In Times Square
Police released video of a man slashing a woman with a boxcutter in broad daylight near the heart of Times Square on Sunday.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A stranger wielding a boxcutter slashed a woman while she walked down a sidewalk in the heart of Times Square on Sunday, according to police — who released video of the attack.
The broad-daylight assault near the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 42nd Street happened around 10 a.m. Sunday, police said. Video shared by police shows the 59-year-old victim pulling a cart as she walks down the sidewalk, when a man walks up from behind.
Video shows the man raising his arm up in the air, then bringing it down on the woman's right hand.

She was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition for the hand wound.
The unidentified assailant fled eastbound along East 42nd Street, police said.
