Whole Foods To Open 2 New Markets In Manhattan — Here's Where

The health-conscious supermarket is planting roots in two local neighborhoods this spring.

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — This spring, Hell's Kitchen and StuyTown will both get their very own Whole Foods Market Daily Shop — the health-conscious grocery store's smaller-format market — as part of the company's latest expansion.

The first new Whole Foods Market Daily Shop will open on May 15 in StuyTown on 14th Street in a 10,000-square-foot storefront.

Then the next store will open on June 4 at 50th Street and Eighth Avenue in an 8,500-square-foot store.

Both grocery stores will feature more than 400 local products, including fresh seasonal produce, meat, and seafood, and will also carry vitamins, toiletries and beauty products.

The new Hell's Kitchen location will take over a corner storefront that used to be a Rite Aid.

Both grocery stores will also have prepared grab-and-go foods, like sushi and salads, the company said.

Though smaller than the grocery store's other ventures, the grocery stores will still include an extensive artisanal cheese selection and a fresh daily bakery counter, the company said.

The StuyTown location will also feature a coffee and juice bar, the company said.

Opening morning at both locations, the stores will serve complimentary coffee and breakfast bites. The first 300 customers at each location will also receive a tote bag.

Whole Foods Market’s first Daily Shop location opened in September in Lenox Hill.

The Hell’s Kitchen shop will be at 301 W. 50th St. in Manhattan. The East Village shop will be at 409 East 14th St. in Manhattan.
