MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A woman was hospitalized Friday afternoon after being struck by a train at the Port Authority subway station, officials said.

The woman was hit around 4:15 p.m. in the West 42nd and Eighth avenues station, an FDNY spokesman said. Trains on the A, C and E lines were delayed as first responders worked to rescue the injured woman, police said. Northbound C and E trains bypassed the station entirely, transit officials said.

An FDNY spokesman said that the woman's injuries were not critical.
