Here are the top three stories in Miller Place-Rocky Point today:

1. American Airlines announced on Monday that they would cease service to Islip's MacArthur Airport in September. Islip Town officials and Long Island business leaders have been pushing for expanded flights from the airport in recent years, and the announcement means MacArthur will lose one of four airlines currently flying into the airport. 2. A house fire broke out in Selden around 2 a.m. Tuesday. At least five fire departments were needed to control the flames at 35 South Bicycle Path. (News 12 Long Island)
3. Spicy's in Riverhead, Long Island's oldest barbecue restaurant, has been closed for a week. The West Main Street restaurants posted signs in the windows saying the closure is temporary, but the building's landlord said it's permanent. (RiverheadLOCAL)
