Another Rocky Point Student Perfect in WordMasters Challenge

For the second time this year a Rocky Point student achieved a perfect score in the WordMasters competition.

For the second time this school year, a student at Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School hasachieved a perfect score at a WordMasters Challenge meet, a national vocabulary competitioninvolving nearly 150,000 students annually.

Fifth-grader Riley Watson earned a 20 out of 20 during the challenge’s second meet, which tested the students’ understanding of 50 different vocabulary words.

Nationally, only 75 fifth-graders achieved a perfect score. Other JAE students who achieved outstanding results in the meet included fourth-grader Trevor Hall and fifth-graders Molly Infranco and Anna Raicovi. 

JAE’s GATES students take part in the three WordMasters Challengemeets every year.
