Bicyclist, 61, Seriously Hurt In Sound Beach Crash: Police
He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment, Suffolk police say.
SOUND BEACH, NY — A 61-year-old Sound Beach man seriously hurt in a crash with a vehicle on Friday, Suffolk police said.
The man was driving a 2025 Subaru southbound on Echo Avenue, at the intersection of New York Avenue, when a northbound bicyclist struck it just before 7 p.m., police said, adding, that the bicyclist, who is from Sound Beach, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment.
The driver, who is also 61 and from Sound Beach, was not hurt in the crash, police said.

His Subaru was impounded for a safety check, according to police.
No criminality is suspected, police said Monday.
