  1. A 40-year-old Bellport man was charged with drunken driving after killing his girlfriend in Brookhaven in a car crash early Saturday morning. Emmanuel Rivera struck a tree at about 2 a.m. on Montauk Highway and 41-year-old Arely Garcia, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene. (Patch)
  2. Suffolk County residents say potholes are causing major damage to their vehicles. A bill in Albany is seeking to make the Department of Transportation pay for damage done to cars for all parts of the year. (News 12)
  3. A proposed site plan for an expanded tasting room and other improvements at Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard wasn't approved at a recent Riverhead Planning Board meeting. Resident near the Sound Avenue vineyard were opposed to outdoor live music and other proposals. (RiverheadLOCAL)
