🌱 Fatal SUV Crash On William Floyd + Ridge Animal Torture Charge

Here are the top three stories today in Miller Place-Rocky Point:

1. A 29-year-old man was killed when he lost control of the sport utility vehicle he was driving on Tuesday night around 7 p.m. in Shirley. Akeem Brothers was traveling southbound on William Floyd Parkway when he lost control of his SUV just north of Dawn Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene. (Patch)
2. A Long Island woman was found keeping a 10-month-old puppy inside of a metal crate outdoors where it couldn't stand, turn around, or lay down. Brookhaven Town Animal Rescue investigated a complaint and took the dog away from Altanasia Warren, 25, of Ridge. She is charged with torturing an animal. (Patch)
3. Riverhead Police are asking the public to help find a teenager missing from Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch in Riverhead. Jordain Baskerville, 16, is a white Native American male, approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 150 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair, and who left without permission on Sunday. (RiverheadLOCAL)
