ROCKY POINT, NY — The Long Island man believed to have been killed by his son will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
A burial mass for Joseph Zoll, 61, will be held Wednesday morning at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church in Rocky Point, followed by a private cremation, according to his obituary posted by the Rocky Point Funeral Home.

He was stabbed to death on Nov. 9, sparking a hunt on the North Shore for his son, Matthew Zoll, who Suffolk police say is a suspect. Police on Monday said the 23-year-old crashed an SUV near the family's home and could possibly be injured.
Zoll is remembered by his family as a dedicated father who went out of his way for his children, according to a GoFundMe page organized in his honor.

His cousin, Jane Mead Harris of Selden, announced she was starting the fundraiser, saying it was "with a very heavy heart" that she seeks help and support for his children.
She set the page up on behalf of his family to help Zoll's children "give him the proper funeral he so deserves."
Patch has reached out to Mead.
In her post, Mead described Zoll as having lost his life "tragically."
"This has left his family at a complete loss, and they are in need of our support," Mead wrote. "His family is faced with having to prepare his funeral arrangements, and I am hoping that through donations this will lessen their burden."
"Joe was a dedicated father who did everything and anything to give his children the best life he could provide them with," she added.
