Logan was "very loving and caring" to others from the time he was a young child, she wrote.
He joined the Boy Scouts of America at age 10 and he developed a love for fishing, as well as fixing and repairing engines.
As a teenager, he picked up lawnmowers and vacuum cleaners his neighbors were throwing out, and took them home and would fix them to the point where they would work great.
It was his talent.
Logan later interned as a junior mechanic at Eastern Suffolk Board of Cooperative Educational Services and made friends for a lifetime. After school, he got a job at Mavis Auto Services in Port Jefferson, and during his short time here, he developed a great reputation for fixing engines.
He showed his caring for others by inviting his friends to his house and offering his time to fix their cars, bikes, or quads.
"He was loved by so many, especially his family and friends," Samantha wrote.
In an email, she said that as her family continues to "navigate this overwhelming grief," they are "seeking support from compassionate businesses across Long Island to help us cover these expenses and give Logan the farewell he deserves."
"Any contribution, no matter the size, would make an incredible difference in easing the financial strain during this difficult time," she said.
