- A woman was arrested for breaking a window and taking medication at a Ronkonkoma home last week. Kellie Bridges, 28, of Ronkonkoma, broke a basement window and went inside a home on Pleasure Avenue on Jan. 6, while the homeowners, who she knew, were home. (Patch)
- A Bohemia man died after suffering a medical emergency while driving on Sunrise Highway in East Patchogue on Tuesday afternoon. David Redlo, 58, was driving a 2008 Mazda on westbound Sunrise Highway near exit 51 when he veered and hit the guard rail. (Subscription: Newsday)
- Rescuers in Cutchogue helped a raccoon who was caught on camera with its head stuck in a jar. Strong Island Animal Rescue League encourages everyone to recycle, crush cans, and cut up plastic six-pack rings to possibly save wildlife. (News 12)
