  1. Long Island native and karate kid Ralph Macchio will be inducted into Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame for his contributions to martial arts awareness. The Miller Place native now lives in Mount Sinai. (Patch)
  2. New York State has reopened emergency rent relief applications in Brookhaven and Babylon towns, after those towns used up their allotment. The reopening came Tuesday after a court order. (Subscription: Newsday)
  3. The man killed in a car crash in Medford on Jan. 4 has been identified as 29-year-old Saul Lozada of Patchogue. The crash happened at the intersection of North Ocean Avenue and Masonic Avenue at around 10:20 p.m. (News 12)
