- A lawsuit from slain Suffolk woman Gabby Petito's parents alleges that Brian Laundrie's parents knew that he killed his 22-year-old fiancee and they attempted to help him flee law enforcement. (Patch)
- Suffolk police think two recent burglaries in Hauppauge and Bohemia could be connected. Two men broke into a home on Enfield Lane in Hauppauge and stole $1,600 worth of jewelry and electronics. Another recent burglary in Bohemia with suspects described as white males in their 20s wearing black clothing could be connected. (News 12)
- Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Friday that $4.5 million in federal and state funding will be distributed to support current child care centers at SUNY campuses including Stony Brook University, Nassau Community College, Farmingdale State College and Suffolk County Community College.
